Murph Marathon 2.0

If you’ve been following us for a while then you’ll no doubt be familiar with the Murph Marathon event that took place in 2025, which raised a staggering £30,000 for Transcend, well at 5.30am on August 22nd, Murph Marathon 2.0 kicked off and boy, did it not dissappoint. As the sun rose over the London skyline, participants gathered on the rooftop of Level 16 in Wapping to start what would be an unforgettable day of fitness, community and fundraising.

So, what did involve? Well, Murph Marathon 2.0 is as follows:

  • A marathon from Wapping to Cobham in Surrey

  • A murph workout at NewWave Crossfit (1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, 1-mile run)

  • Another marathon back to Wapping

Participants could choose to join in for all the above or sections which were broken down into half marathons and a 10km run from Battersea Park to the finish line.

The day didn’t stop there. As the sun began to set over London, the rooftop came alive once again, with a DJ set, pizza and beers setting the scene for the evening. The celebrations continued with an incredible live performance from Home Run Jack, bringing everyone together to round off an monumental day.

There are far too many people to thank who made this event such an epic success, but we couldn’t let the opportunity pass without giving a huge shout out to the entire Murph Marathon crew, everyone who took part, and those who came back for more after last year’s event. From the planning and preparation to the relentless effort on the day itself, every single person played a part in making Murph Marathon 2.0 something truly special.

And, of course, a very special thank you has to go to Franky - the driving force behind the Murph events. His energy, passion and determination are what make these events happen, bringing people together for a second year in a row to push themselves, have a great time and, most importantly, raise money for Transcend. We genuinely couldn’t do it without you, Franky. Thank you!

A special shout out goes to Laura and Hope from Syncro Marketing for the unbelievable marketing in the build-up to the event and, even more so, the incredible work they put in on the day. From capturing the atmosphere and energy as it unfolded to documenting the event live across social media, they helped bring the day to life for everyone, both there in person and following along from afar.

And finally to all of the sponsors, for keeping everyone hydrated, fuelled and helping the day run smoothly: Jubel Beer, fourfive , Activit drinks, Actiph Water, Tribe and PassEntry
