York Marathon ‘25

October 19th marked a proud moment for Transcend as we had our biggest group of marathon runners yet taking part in the same event. As the runners took to the start line at around 9.30am, various supporters from the Transcend community were poised and ready to cheer them on from multiple spots along the 26.2 mile route. Leading up to the race, the forecast looked pretty grim, with rain predicted to fall throughout the morning - but to everyone’s relief, it stayed away until just after 2pm, leaving the runners nice and dry for the majority of the race!

The annual York marathon started in 2013 and is an extra special route with Jack and his family having run the course on multiple occasions, with Jack completing the route in 2021

A massive, massive thank you goes out to Mark, Matty, Elliot, Jess, Adam, Fran, and Luke for running and representing Transcend with such energy and heart! Together, they raised over £3,000!
